MagiAwen is a life worker. What is that? It means my work is life, life is my work though not in the sense of life actually being work. It means that I don’t stress, my life is my Great Work and I enjoy every minute of it (now anyways). I do not offer to make excuses for who I am or what I do or how I live and the choices I make.
I think more people need to learn or relearn how to live like this. Things were not always like this for me of course. I am a single mother of a budding woman who will be 18 soon, I had a great career and was a business owner of a fine technology company. But let’s face it, working 16 to 18 hours per day for 10 years just starting looking more and more ridiculous.
I decided I would rather work at McDonald’s than fight in the corporate mess and have to deal with all the stress and time away from home. Although I never did work at McDonald’s (they wouldn’t hire me…I’m over qualified…we’ll get to that in a post some day).
I’m a Self-Styled Life Stylist. How does that sound? I have taken all that I love and love to do and combined it to make a working life that not only works but is flexible, enjoyable…and I don’t have to eat dirt or make a pound of butter last four weeks.
I am making it a point to discuss all that I came from as we go along here…in posts not in pages. And even though my slogan and what not may sound hip and totally guru-ish. I’m really not here to sell you anything.
